Cinemauto is bringing an interdisciplinary cultural experience, exploring creativity at the intersection of nature, the outdoors, and the communities missing from the conversation through film, visual arts, music, and environmental activities.
Our film program and environmental activities will shine a light on the disparities that exist within various communities by celebrating the cultural shifters using their voice + platforms to fight for equal rights and protection, those tackling stigmas, and raising awareness on important causes such as overcoming societal barriers to make accessibility the norm.

Come learn about the progression of how different cooking techniques with the same ingredients can vastly change the textural outcomes and flavors with familiar dishes/foods.
When condiments become a vessel for cultural expression
We’ll start by going through different salsa preparations (fresh cut/mixed or physical force- molcajete vs blended )
Cooking in Communion with the Earth- Edible Terraformation
Boiling vs searing vs grilling mushrooms texture/flavor changes. Finishing with going through talking about hominy and the nixtamalization process and how we use it for so many different dishes by using cooking techniques to change again the textures.

Short film program curated by Femme Frontera- A film organization made up of, and founded by women and non-binary filmmakers from the U.S.-Mexico border regions of El Paso, Texas, Las Cruces, New Mexico, and Cd. Juárez, Chihuahua, México. Our mission is to amplify films made by women and non-binary filmmakers from border regions around the world and to celebrate these unique voices through showcasing work, funding projects, and providing film education.
Documentary short. Drawing on images from a non-existent border between Santa Elena, Chihuahua, and Big Bend National Park in Texas. La Bi-vencia explores the reunion of a ghost town next to the Rio Grand that was abandoned after 9/11.
The filmmakers, Mariana Gongora-Reyes and Analaura Cardenas were selected fellows of Femme Frontera’s 2022 La Frontera Film Lab made possible by the support of the Sundance Institute.
